Join the Challenge: G1 Readiness Race

The first phase of the competition runs from 7:00-8:30PM (must be in line by 8:30PM to participate). After phase one of the competition is complete, players with the top four times will race again, head-to-head, to determine final places. Watch the G1 Readiness Race video to learn more.

HOW TO PLAY
G1 Readiness Race

To win, complete these 8 steps the fastest:

1. Change cylinder

2. Swap battery

3. Don the G1 & facepiece; must tighten straps

4. Don hood & helmet; attach chin strap

5. Open air cylinder

6. Connect the regulator to the facepiece

7. Yell out, "MSA G1!"

8. Disconnect the regulator

RULES
G1 Readiness Race

To win, must follow these rules:

  • All 8 steps must be completed (order does not matter).
  • MSA judges will be on-site to ensure proper completion.
  • Equipment will be provided by MSA.
  • Times will be broadcast on-site on a digital leaderboard.
  • NEW for 2017: Top 4 players from initial competition will race again, head-to-head, to determine final places.

Prizes awarded at 9:45PM. Must be present to win. Every participant will receive a hood to use for the race.
NEW for 2017: Every player with a time 44.999 or less will win a G1 iTIC Upgrade Kit.
